..... it will look like this

This was at the Octane.ie track day in Mondello today.

Because I was having issues with the steering rack I didn't bother to stiffen the suspension or increase the tyre pressures.

I thought I'd be taking it handy ..... no chance.

Still I had a great laugh and the car didn't miss a beat.

Cerbera ..... what a great fun car.

I stiffened up my Protechs before setting off to France (A28 Toll cloud9) yes it was a little bit harsh on the bum but once on the track they were sublime.

I do think I'll opt for some stronger springs in the future and set the dampers softer initially and then just go for trial and error.

Glad you enjoyed your session mate.....there sure is something special about the noises that the AJP makes when given some. It must also be said that a Cerb 'behaves' much better than at first expected both in and especially out of the corners, and when ones confidence levels grow the amount of right foot travel and ability to hold the tail with extra revs on said exit is spine-chilling amazing.

I can still recall sitting in my deckchair equipped with a glass of red, on the camp site at Tetra Rouge and grinning from ear to ear whilst reminiscing and listening to the ticking and crackling sounds as the rascal cooled down wink

Every other time I've had it on a track I always set the stiffness set to the stiffest setting and increased they tyre pressures.

It handled well on those occassions and remained as level as possible through the corners.

I just thought it looked funny in those two pics at how "twisted" it looked in the corners.

It actually wasn't that bad to drive with the softer suspension and I still got pretty decent grip most of the time.

In fact it actually gripped better while the track was wet at the start of the day as it wasn't so hard that it would bounce across the surface at the slightly bumpier parts of the track.

Mondello is a fairly twisty track and isn't all that suited to the power of the Cerb except for the main straight and the back straight.

The likes of an Evo with 4WD and the more nimble Elises and Exiges grip way better there.

Still it was great to get back out on a track day after months away from it.

I had fun.
