How can you tell if a car is C16?

Can you tell if a car is C16 - UK spec - from the chassis number? Or is a call to Porsche towers needed?

Just look at the sticker under the bonnet, this has the Vin, engine number etc, but you will also see all the option codes for the car. The first option code is the country code that the car was built for e.g C16 = built at the factory to full UK specification, if it says C98 or other then it may not have been built to UK spec.
