I'm looking to have engineered Oak flooring put into the hallway, study and dining room. The subfloor is concrete. There is a lot of choice out there but looking at below £30sqm. I think I have narrowed it down to 2 choices. Something like the Kahrs click system (more expensive) or something from a small importer (such as http://www.oakfloorsonline.co.uk/ with lifetime guarantee) using a T&G fit (cheaper). What is the concensus on the click system v T&G, and known brand v small indie?
The only thing putting me off the T&G system is the hassle if I need to uplift in the future. The product appears to be very good with 4mm top layer and multi ply core whereas the Kahrs samples I have seen have a thinner top layer and the core is pine.

We've got some T&G stuff that's as you describe with a ply base and a thick (6mm) solid oak top (this stuff in fact). Putting it down was really easy, we used some green insulation foam (silver backed for the ground floor) and then just glued it together. Taking it up would be impossible without breaking it but why would you want to.

I've bought a couple of solid oak floors from british hardwoods in skipton, rustic oak around £30/sqm. Very pleased with it, 7" wide boards.
With T&G I use 'tongue-tite' screws - they are a very narrow headed screw which you use as a direct replacement for nails and secret screw them - they have torx heads (driver supplied in the box), use a power driver, you can get them in screwfix.
