nikon D 3000 or canon eos 1000 D which one

Hi guys total newbie to digital SLR cameras. I have been on the t"internet[sorry im a norverner] and as entry level SLR"S go i have narrowed it down to Nikon D 3000 or Canon eos D 1000 both around £350 to £400 mark. what do you think, which is best and why? thanks in advance, Tom.

"#U#K" Confucious just wanted peoples personal opinions on the two cameras. I understand its all about personal choice just want pros and cons of both.

Not enough real difference to pick between them

Look at the lenses and rest of the line up see if theres any hurdles there for later (not that you cant change).

Nikon make some great kit , as do canon, they both have holes in their lineups and shining stars, and a lot comes with a heafty price tag...
