Looking for a V8 vantage

Wife fancies a Vantage, around 3 yrs old. Looking to buy privately, to save a few bob, so could do with knowing what to lookout for, any advise? Are their any specialist insurance companies or just the usual shopping around? After a test drive yesterday she`s absolutely smitten, not surprised tho`, how many cars look so good from EVERY angle? Looking forward to joining the `club`. Anyone out there thinking of parting with their `baby`? Cheers,

Have a bit of a search on here. There's tons of info on buying, which options to look for etc.

As above, be patient. Understand the options list. Understand values. Understand general issues etc. You'll get a lovely car that you'll be very happy with if you take your time.

I am an owner of a Dec 05 Vantage coupe. The most amazing value for money car I ever owned....when I bought it I received a lot of comments ("take car with reliability", " is bloody expesive to insure and run ", etc).

None of that proved to be true! I only paid for the annual service and petrol! insurance is gbp 200 more than my Mini S ! And a gorgeous pretty thing to drive !
Go for it!
