ive got router at home running both a wired (for work) and a wireless (for guests, iphone, xbox 360 etc) at home.

i have a wierd bug where if a "new" device connects to the wireless network (this can be first-time new or not-used-in-a-couple-of-days new) everyone, including the wired users, get booted off the internet connection. the LAN connection is fine, but the internet goes down.

give it ten or fifteen minutes, and it comes back up again for all users. alternatively, doing a software reset on the router fixes the problem too.

i have gone around the security settings and i cant find anything that would make it do that.

any PH boffins got any ideas? i can dig out extra info (DHCP settings etc) if useful.

Without knowing what your attaching to your network or what equipment you've got, it will be difficult to tell, you could have a look at your routers firmware version and see if the manufacturer has an updated firmware you could install
