Mrs Ray Singh has a 04 plate VW Touran.

When we switch the headlights on - either parking or full, the rear lights only illuminate on the lower circle.
Ive seen Toruans of the similar age, and both top and bottom circles in the rear clusters illuminate.

The local stealer doesn't know what the fault is either. Any ideas?

I checked a little more and it seems that only the smaller bulb (the one that illuminates the upper half of the lower circle) comes on.

Im sure that this and the top and bottom bulbs should illuminate?

Please any help would be appreciated......

The one in your picture is a facelift model which has a different rear light cluster.

I wouldnt worry, its not like its causing you any problems is it?

Agreed - the one in the picture is a newer model.

At the moment the car only has the smaller bulb (what is it 5w or 10w) when driving, cant be safe? The wife and the kids use the car on country lanes to get to/from school.

Brake lights seem to work ok?
