Anyone care to take a stab at second hand value for a BRM V6? A friend is about to sell his to help fund a car purchase and I want to make an offer as it looks superb IMHO. Very similar to the pic below except with red hands. It was purchased about 6 months ago.

This one ? .....

Edit ; less haste & more speed !smile

Judging by the original retail price i'd say less than £2k but i'm no expert on these matters - hopefully someone with far greater knowledge than me will be along shortly to advise much better. For a second hand one of these that'd be the max i'd ideally like to pay if i'm honest.

Is rather nice though and i'm seriously thinking about taking the plunge into one of these myself !

Yes that's the one. He paid quite a bit less than that though it was about £1800.

I think that is just lovely, price wise it depends on how good a friend, but I would stab at £1500 if you know he paid £1800 for it.

Call a dealer with one to "sell"...see what price they give, but not convinced it'll be that high.

There isn't a second-hand market for these because so few are made each year. I waited for a long time to find one second hand and apart from a few dodgies on Fleabay and one on TZ-UK's sales corner (which I didn't take to) I couldn't find one. In the end I bit the bullet and bought new.

...and you won't be seeing that in the second hand market either... ;-)
