Anyone else in the area not on a mains gas supply and have a tank (deffo gas not oil). Moving a bit more rural on Thursday and figure I better have some clue about it as never had such a thing before, so anyone have a gas tank and if so can you advise who best to contact to come fill it and any other things I should be aware of; I guess once filled it's to all intents and purposes same as mains? No idea how much is in there at the moment if any, so we could have a couple of cold nights heading our way hehe

Hey TC wavey

Try a company called Flo gas they are extremley good and will top you up automatically and also provide full service contract for your tank.

One thing worth asking the previous occupier is, that most tanks are on a leased basis and can be tied in to a supply contract, worth checking that said F-I-Laws was a privately bought tank.

Either way Flow Gas get my thumbup

Thanks Dave, gives me a place to start. Hadn't thought about the tank being leased as such, hazy memory of it having the ubiquitous Calor on the side but still assumed it was going to be a privately owned thing and therefore could get from whoever I liked, worth checking it out for sure - Am buying from 2 sisters who inherited the house from their late father but both live abroad, from the scarcity of knowledge they have had on many aspects of the house so far I doubt they would have a scooby about private/leased ownership of the tank, so will probably just suck it and see once we are in yes

Cheers again thumbup

We have probably got to move the tank at some point to make way for a planned extension.... I am expecting much japery once the various hoses are on the loose...
