Golf GT TDi vs Bora TDi Sport vs Leon ???
Discussion
Right, I'm looking to sell my BMW and get something a bit smaller.
Previously I had a 115PS GT TDi with the 6 speed box. Good on fuel, ok fast and handled alright. Searching for something similar as a replacement and I've happened across its stable mates, the Bora and Leon.
As I understand it, theyre all on the same platform and have the same issues, lower arms & rear ARB bushes. Is there anything else I should be aware of between the models? Electronic issues or anything like that?
I'm looking at 115 and 130PS models as I'll openly admit I'm scared by the stories of 150 engines having chocolate cams.
(not really considering the A3 as its consierably more than the Golf/Leon/Bora and the purpose of the exercise is freeing up some cash).
Probably worth mentioning I'm looking at spending £2500-3000 so seem to be in ~100k mile Bora territory and 140k mile Golf territory. Havent checked out Leons in much depth yet, only a notion that sprung to mind this weekend when I saw one outside my flat wearing RS6ish alloys!
