Parking in Birmingham City Centre
Discussion
Evening, chaps, got to go to Birmingham City Centre for day on Thurs (19 Nov) - where's the best place to park & any idea how much it'll cost.
I need to be at Edmund St for 10:30 so somewhere nearby would be ideal.
Alternatively am I wasting my time, don't want to use the train but don't want to sit in traffic all morning.
Cheers in advance,
TC

But like I say I'm miles away from an expert. Multimap shows a big multistory at the end of edmund street.
Just checked your profile though. Coming from Essex it's got to be easier to get a train right into New Street.
Cheers, said I was being thick. Try & avoid trains, also getting train means into & across Town - need to leave here about 06:15... Work's paying so cost doesn't really matter, it's what I think's most convenient for me. Bonus of the train is that I can have a couple of pints at the end & on the way back,But like I say I'm miles away from an expert. Multimap shows a big multistory at the end of edmund street.

I used to do the reverse journey on a regular basis .... Birmingham > Billericay. Have to say after years of doing it I found the train a better option. M1 and last stretch of M6 into Brum can be a nightmare plus getting into town difficult whereas train straight into New Street and (normally) on time.

The multi storey at Snow Hill is a really clean & bright car park and doesn't stink of the grot that they normally do (if these things matter) and parking is £9.70 + 30p if paying by card over the telephone for all day parking, otherwise bring plenty of change!
I use this one when I go into Brum, get there after 9.30 and parking is MUCH cheaper - Saturdays it is £3 for 5 hours, not sure what it is like during the week but it used to be similar.Gassing Station | Midlands | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
