Where to buy distilled water?

Bought a humidor to store some cigars but I need some distilled water for it. Anybody know where I should start? Quick check on the web didn't throw up anywhere obvious.

Halfords - as in it's needed to top up car batterries. It's also used in steam irons as well.

Isn't the stuff at petrol stations and whatnot de-ionised water, not distilled water? You want distilled water in a humidor because it doesn't contain the mineral deposits that will reduce the effectiveness of the humidor. Although who knows, maybe it doesn't really matter

Thanks everyone... tried Tesco and local Shell but they only had de-ionised. Will try my local Halfords tomorrow...

Try a Pharmacist, they will probably have it or will be able to order it in.
Failing that a supplier of scientific stuff.
Or, if you have a dehumidifier, the codensate from that might do?

Depending on how much you need, buy a machine thing off ebay and DIY.

de-ionised water is much the same thing as distilled water, just achieved via different means

I bought some a few months back for the same reason! Think it was about £1.20ish for a litre.

Top distilled water tip: After sneaking some booze from Dad's liquor cabinet, refill the bottles to their pre-sneak levels with distilled water to avoid those pesky give-away swirlies!

If you have an old fashioned fridge/freezer defrost it and save the water.

Rain water collected in a plastic container, and its FREE.

If you have the right sort of tumble dryer then that's another free source

buy a dehumidifier - place it in your house running, it will pull moister from the air leaving you with distilled water.
