Wonderful of the government to give us a temporary cut in fuel duty. Good of them to be so honest about it as well.
Temporary duty cut until: June.
Next general election due: May.
Notice a pattern?
The laughable thing is that the general public will fall for it. They always do.
Why do I have to live in a country so full of complete gimps?
quote:I agree, that was a good thing that Ken Clark gave us. When that grinning git and fatboy came to power I just knew they'd swipe that one away. James is right, the chimps of this land will fall for the fuel cut. Grrrrrr makes me mad...
Any news on tax exempt cars or are we still stuck at 1973?
I seem to remember during the fuel blockades we were told that everyone was wrong to try to force the governments hand, they wouldn't do anything about it until budget time. I expect you're as shocked as I am that they've ended up doing nothing at all. (I.e. not very shocked at all.)

I agree - but then if I can fill up my car at 73.9p a litre I'm a happy girl - we'll all fall for it come election time but then I'm tempted not to bother putting my cross in the box they are all as bad as one another do you really think the others will come in a drop fuel duty - we can dream.
quote:It would seem their plan has worked then, they force the price up from 71.9p to 79.9p and then people are happy when it "comes down" to 73.9p Do you reslise that is still shed loads of money?? I remember when petrol was 79.5p a GALLON - those were the days.... ================ Graham and Rosie Edited by Graham and Rosie on Saturday 10th March 20:43
