John Surtees (the poor guy) was being interviewed on 5 Live this morning, and amongst other things (including his son's death) was asked about Button to McLaren. He said "it would be like going into the lion's den with Anthony Hamilton there"

That could be a problem as Lewis and Jenson have very different driving styles. Lewis is aggressive, hard on tyres, and likes a loose pointy car. Jenson is much smoother and so easy on tyres that he can sometimes barely get them to operating temp.However it pans out, for now at least this has surely got to be the best news for (British, especially?) F1 fans.
Two of the best drivers in the world competing on, hopefully, equal terms for the (consistently) best British F1 team - irrespective of Brawn's success this year - and in what might well prove to be the best car out there given the end of season rally and the news from their aero dept. about the improvements they've seen so far re. the developments for next year.
Should be intriguing to see who is, overall, the faster/better driver, especially given the reg. changes. Will Hamilton really be so much faster than Button, as many assume, and will the driving style difference suit Button over a race length run?

2010 just got very interesting. I think this may well turn out to be a mistake from Button. I think he'd have been better off taking less money and sticking with Brawn. As has been said, it's Team Hamilton over at McLaren.

I think it might - with no refuelling the car will be very heavy at the start so those drivers who are hard on tyres (Lewis) will suffer from degradation. This may allow Jenson, who is a smoother driver, to do a 1-2 stop race whereas Lewis will have to do a 2-3 stop.Can't wait!
