I'm not sure if this tuning company is still in business but he famously/notoriously claimed to have produced a silly bhp figure which was never verified to my knowledge. A BMW magazine went to Turkey and was impressed by the quality of the work but couldn't confirm the power output (Performance BMW July 2006). Did anyone in the UK buy one?

Rather, buy the kit/get it fitted..

I saw him post quite a lot on various sites, generally he seemed ok and there were quite a lot of video clips of an MZ3 Coupe with a large turbo I recall seeing.

It's hard to see how those kind of numbers could be achieved though without being re-engined into race/drag spec engine at massive expense. There are too many tales of mad Swede's with big bhp outputs to say it couldn't be done though.

I recall the 1000bhp Omega(wd!) being pretty impressive and also well documented.

Not sure 1000 is that driveable on the road and the race fuel might also be an issue.

Last time i saw something from Mert (Mr DA Motorsport) if was something along the lines of him blowing up an engine that had 2 headgaskets fitted to lower compression, and reflecting how life used to be so much easier with just a supercharger...

In all honesty, i have no doubt he'd be able to reach those figures, but they will be like F1 engines, and would have a runtime best measured in engine hours.

Thanks, interesting info. Their website now says 'Please Dont Send Any Requests, We Dont Take Orders'. It did have a really comprehensive set of photos detailing the build, I just thought that in the end regardless of if the output was 700 or 1100 bhp, the work did look good and the road test report from several magazines said how driveable and fast the conversion seemed. Interestingly also Mert stated that the boost was set at the amount needed to generate the big BHP as it the engine was safe at this level of boost. It would have been good to have seen one of these conversions for real although 3 or 4 years ago when I spoke with Mert he said that the nearest customer he had with one of these, to the UK, was somewhere in France.
