Inspection 2 price.

Got quoted £1076 inc vat for inspection 2 on M3 2004. Is this OTT?

That is a silly price...Sytner dealers tend to price match with cheaper independant prices so it may be worth going through them. The last time I paid close to £850 for an inspection 2 with gearbox oil and coolant change (which was meant to cost £200 extra) and Sytner will do a full BMW valet for all M cars when booked in for an inspection 1 or 2 (and their results are outstanding).

Its not under warranty. I do less than 4000 miles per year so warranty is not worth the payment for me. I just thought BMWSH for resale somewhere down the line which is probably not going to be for a couple of years yet. Car will probably be circa 45000 miles when 7 1/2 years old. Is having done at an indi better plan?

Vines in Guildford have advertised at less than that.

Current issue of PBMW has A-L Tuning quoting £380 for an E46 M3 Inspection II

Those are some great prices...Sytner matched independant prices so really it could cost £380 at a BMW dealer.
