clutch/ lightened flywheel for M3 EVO
Discussion
This has prob been covered a million times... Im after a new clutch for my evo.. its not slipping but a bit heavy beggining to be a bit of a nightmare, also recently ive added the bexley braided clutch hose that helped lift the biting point..
what is the best clutch to go for?? and also lightened flywheel..?
what are the affects of the lightened flywheel on the evo? i understand it would rev alot quicker bottom end.. but would i loose top end pick up?
thanks..
I have had a UUC lightweight flywheel and now run a JB Racing lightweight flywheel. You will get better pickup and more responsiveness at all rpms and you can notice it being keener to rev.
You will also get some degree of chatter at idle, I changed to a thicker gearbox oil which helped but does not stop it all together.
IMO its a good mod....Change the diff whilst your at it for some real zip!!

Evo, no it came as a complete kit inc clutch....
I run a 3.64 diff which I find is perfect without being to short. I also have a 5 speed box which runs @4000rpm at 80mph, guess if you have a 6 speed you will retain some good cruising ability.
My car doesn't get much motorway use so the slightly higher rpm doesn't bother me.
