I guess that he just wasn't that bothered due to earning 17M (not sure if thats Dollars or Euros?) just from not racing in F1 next year. Be interesting to see him in something like LMP1 though.
Now to see how the McLaren/Mercedes driver line ups go. I expect we will know more by the end of the week.
Ferarri were stupid for paying him the astronomical amount that he was on last year,Mclaren however are not that stupid.
Am actually pleased that were going to get an all-brit team next season

I don't think it's a case of being "stupid" as such. Those contracts were signed before any of the current money issues. As such, the amounts, although large, were in keeping with the current F1 driver market at the time. Am actually pleased that were going to get an all-brit team next season

Things have changed now. Teams aren't as eager to spend so much. Some drivers have accepted it and others haven't.

I am impressed with his attitude, in that he's a petrolhead and wants to race and race to win, and isn't that bothered whether thats in F1 or not. I find that quite refreshing that he fancies a go at LeMans and other stuff and doesn't see F1 as the be all and end all of motorsport. I actually don't think he was that bothered about staying in F1, probably why he was asking so much. A bit like firms quoting a high price to do a job they don't really want to do, but will do if someone is daft enough to pay the inflated price quoted.A bit dissapointed with his attitude, but thats Kimi.

I know there was the Flav and 'don't touch with the proverbial' FIA ruling (obviously...) but the last I read on it was that Webber had said, roughly; if thats the way it has to be, I'll not bother with a manager then. and that was 2 months ago.
News to me that his late results 'saved' his drive - contract was extended earlier in the year, so curious on your info.

Webber was in quite deep with Flav, Flav funded Webber by paying for his drives early in his career when his sponsorship failed. Webber was also locked in for a good few years with him. It was reported but not the fact that Webbers job was at risk.
I don't know for fact that he 'saved' his drive but it definitely helped his cause and Red Bull helped him escape his contract. Kimi did visit the Red Bull factory.
I am from Milton Keynes, that should give you a clue of my knowledge...

I'm not surprised really, Kimi just looked fed up with F1 and it's politics.
