Hello. Just about to order some parts off the internet and just wondered if anyone knew what the diameter is of the front disks and how many pots the callipers are on a 2000 Rover Mini Cooper with sportspack and JC "S Works" conversion? Can anyone make any recommendations for the best type of discs and pads to get? I am thinking about the EBC street green pads with groved discs.

Many thanks,

Darty

They are 8.4" as fitted to all post 84 Minis and all Metros.

They will either be two pot or four pot calipers (look at the caliper, one round thing then its two pot, two round things and its four pot)

EBC Green stuff and grooved seems a good a choice as any. I have just ordered Pagid grooved vented and cross drilled and Pagid fast road pads for some metro hubs and calipers...

I run EBC Green Stuff Pads with Grooved and Cross Drilled discs. Great pads, can take a while to bed in though. Mine squeeled like mad for the first 500 miles. Beware of putting them on warn rotors though. My bro did it and he got permenant brake shudder. Only got rid of it by switching back to standard pads.

Thanks for the info! I will get some of the EBC green ones on order when I have checked the number of pots.

The Carbon-Metallic pads supplied for competition use by Mini Spares are the best. They are not the cheapest, but they last well, work well from relatively low temps and are super for really high-speed driving.
I must have tried everything over the years inc. Ferodo DS11, Mintex 171, 1144, 1155 & 1166, plus the newest Ferodo 3000 (wore out a £70 set in one rally!), but these C-M's are the greatest. They last 3 long road rallies and never fade or grab.
Very highly recommended.
