How Do I - System Requirements

Dear all, some advice if I may.

Current AV setup is PS3 Slim, 37" Panasonic LCD with freesat (not currently connected) and freeview, Onkyo amp and in the near future a networked raid media server (located remotely from the TV etc).

What is the most econimical way to record TV and then store on media server?
