Please review my cv for me! ( IT )

As my last CV was really not up to the job (!), i have just created a new one from scratch.
Its IT related ( IT Manager in SME, 3rd line support, field engineer, etc ).

Can anyone help me fine tune it please ?

Looks okay to me (responsible for IT recruitment and management etc etc in Newcastle).

A few minor suggestions
1) Member of any organisations? BCS etc
2) Any methodologes used? ITIL, Prince etc.
2) Lose the Xperien Template in the document properties
3) Expand on the management side of things, how many people reported to you, what management responsibilities and duties did you have.

Other than that, looks alright, might give you a shout if something comes up.

You could move your contact details to the end of the CV. Some agents will remove these and this may mess up the format of your CV. Personnal statements are not necessary especially when you have given details of your hobbies and interests, I have spoken to many recruiters on this matter.

The file properties is a odd one though. Do agents often look at the meta data or did it just appear in a rollover ?

if it was me, would remove properties from files before sending or uploading

I tend to send my CV in PDF format.

It strips out all of the hidden MS File junk and also makes it harder to edit!

I'd run a spell checker over it. You've spelt implementation wrong, "companys" is missing an apostrophe, and several other spelling / grammar errors.

If you're sending it to a recruitment agency, then yes, absolutly. They will only use your references as a lead into a sales call and ps off your referee.

If you're sending it direct to a company, I see no reason why you should omit the details.

One reason would be to keep it at 2 pages. If your references take it over 2 pages, I'd leave them off but a statement that they are available on request. Also means you can tailor your referees to the job application if you have a pool of people to choose from.

I'd have no problem receiving a PDF CV however recruitment consultants will probably complain as they will find it harder to remove your contact details.
