TTL Flash Canon 450d
Discussion
Now a Speedlite would be nice but my budget is definitely sub £100.
To that end I found Jessops are punting out their own brand 300AFD for the bargaintastic price of £32 (It gets fairly average reviews at its original £100rrp, but I only want it for the odd occasion)
However none of the Jessops locally have any stock (its discontinued) and the only one I found in stock was the Nikon model in the wrong Canon box. Grrr.
Anyone care to recommend a cheap TTL flash?

Unless TTL is of paramount importance just go 3rd party with a couple of Vivitars and some cheap triggers
That's great for you an I who know flash, and want it off camera but the OP seems to want something idiot proof to sit on the hotshoe! (please correct me if I'm wrong)Metz is a good bet, they have a cheap(er) range that work with ETTL though I'd recommend a second hand Canon 430ex (not II) or somesuch.

I've been following 430EX's (and also 420's) on fleabay and people seem content to pay almost list price for a 2nd hand one.
I'll take a look at the Metz range.
