87 944s Conversion ?

can a 87 944s 8valve engine be swapped with an 87 16 valve???

Yes. But the differnce will be negligable. Why not a Turbo conversion, or S2??

When I replaced the head gasket on my S, I found the cambelt was a very tight fit. We worked out that the block must have been from a 2.7, and therefore slightly taller then the 2.5, making the cambelt very tight.

Here`s the thing.I purchased this 87 944s with a blown engine.it came with one on a pallet but it`s a 16 valve.What would i be looking at as far as a swap????
