Celebrating the Carpenters - really ??

Just finished on ITV. Hosted by an unusually uneasy Amanda Holden (and Ronan Keating), a series of artists comprehensively slaughtered the music of the Carpenters. Never a great fan, but this show did remind you that KC did have a fine voice - so why oh why ??

Yes I agree they did not perform the songs well. KC did have a very good voice and RC wrote some good songs for her.

Overall it was an 'interesting' effort. Anyhow I thought I would listen to a couple of tracks on Spotify and forgot how good some of it was.
