Beeping in my house!
Discussion
Last month I've had an annoying "beep, beep" in my house. It's quite random and I've tried to sit in different parts of the house to try and track it down.
It's not a smoke alarm. I smashed the f
k out of it and threw in the bin outside.
Still beeping!!!!
Don't own any battery clocks.
What the f
k is it! Help!

.comI know somebody who had a problem like this, the beeping went on for weeks and would only happen early in the morning. By the time they got anywhere near the sound it stopped.
They later found a watch one of their grand children had dropped under a unit with an alarm set to go off early in the morning.

Sorry to resurect an old thread, but have you replaced the dead smoke detector yet?
k out of it and threw in the bin outside.Fires can start in any household when you are asleep; you won't be woken by the noise of the fire or the smell of smoke.
Smoke is highly toxic and will kill you in minutes ( most fire deaths are from smoke inhalation, not burns).
The only early warning you get of a fire is from a correctly fitted smoke detector.
Contact your local fire service and see if they can do a free Home Safety visit. Nearly all do these days, and most fit free smoke detectors if you don't have one.
Sorry to go off on one, but I am a fire officer and I hope to never be called out to another preventable fire death ever again.
