After many months of reading this forum and deciding that a TAG Heuer Monaco was to expensive for my budget I went out and brought a Tissot prc 200 from a reputable uk watch/ring chain.

First impressions are that it’s a very nice watch for the price and has a good quality feel to it. I have had it now for a week and it hasn’t gained/lost any time. My only problem with the watch is the lume is poor. It will only last about 15 minutes to an hour tops any tips of how to prolong this or is it just what should be expected of a “relatively” cheep watch?

It should keep good time - it's a quartz.

They look good on other straps, I just got a Hirsch carbon leather for mine, but the Golfer also looks good.

I have one of these that I use alongside my Speedmaster Pro, great watch for the money!

After a new strap for mine to freshen it up...

Nice watch, they are hard to beat value wise.

Lume loves the UV in sunlight, lasts longer than a 60 second blast under the bedside lamp.

You have to start looking for your next watch now, I think you need an automatic divers watch to go with that Tissot !

Never really paid any attention to Tissot but I have to say that is lovely.

If that were mine I would put it on a Bond Nato. wink

Would you go the whole hog and use a NATO 2mm too small ?

That watch is ace, I feel a thread coming on....

Tissot used to be better. I looked at pretty much the whole range recently and Swatch have obviously chosen to re-position the brand. I have a couple of nineties PR100 Divermatics and the difference in quality (between these and new watches) is massive. I have the Tissots insured against Longines HydroConquests and theyre worth more if I revert to indemnity, than most Tissots retail for now :sad face: As an aside, the quality of the Divermatic is very close, if not equal to, the automatic TAG-Heuer 4000s: same ETA calibre too.....

If lume is important then you need a watch with tritium tube technology, they need no light source to work and the lume never fades during the night.

Have a look at Traser or Luminox. Uzi are the cheapest.
