Anyone know if this is the larger jag air meter that can be fitted to 350s...?

Wrong type. That's for the hotwire system: you'll have a flap-type airflow meter. As it happens I have one of those Jag units in the workshop....

So is the bonafide item just a plug in and off you go job, or is new wiring/re-mapping required...?

Hmmm... it does plug straight in, but the air hose to the throttle body has a larger internal bore on the Jag unit. The idea is normally that you need to fit higher-flowing injectors as well.

Theres always a hitch! Presumably all this is std on a big wedge.
