Here's a challenge. We have a bathroom counter top with very restricted height. If we have the sink we like, the counter has got to be below 800mm from the floor due to a window that opens over the sink. We also want to fit a wall mounted WC into the counter.

The problem is that the standard Wall mounted WC frames are 820mm and heigher. Add in a 30/40mm counter top and the counter ends up way above the 800mm limit.

Now I know you can get a 'base only' frame like this: http://www.purebathrooms.net/ProductDetails.asp?Wh...

But with a standard Dual flush push button concealed cistern above it, it still adds up to more than 800mm. Does anyone know of a low height concealed cistern (preferably with dual flush and a nice button unit) that can solve our problem?

Having fitted a Grohe one, it is possible (I think!!) to chop the flushpipe down coming out of the cistern - you could then reduce the cistern height beneath the position in which it clips into the steel frame by a good 6" or so from memory.
Would still be left with steel framework above the cistern needing chopping and re-welding, unless you used the bottom-half-only frame you've linked to, and combined it with this chopping down the flushpipe a bit - you need to get to a plumbers merchants and annoy them by opening stuff biggrin

Edited to add... I think I have a Grohe cistern in the west wing waiting to be fitted - hang on

Yep, Grohe, edited to add again! combining the adjustable feet and then chopping the pipe down you'll get a good 4 to 6" height reduction and still seal the top to the cistern. The one I have is like this but you could combine it with the 'topless' frame you've linked to - would need to find a way to attach it to your wall tho'. I'd still annoy the plumbers merchants checking one out yourself first tho'.

PH - flushing matters.

Thomas Dudley do a frame that only supports the pan, and is approxiamtely the same height as the top of the pan. You'd then be free to lower the cistern as much as possible by shortening the flush pipe; we have their frame and cistern (with a neat circular dual flush button) in our cloakrooom, and while it is higher than your hoped for height, we could lose another 80-100 mm out of the flush pipe height with no problems.
