Hey im looking at changing the wheels on my E46 compact from the standard M-sport wheels to a set of "19 M3 csl wheels. Dose anyone know if they will fit straight on or will i have to have some work done to the arches?

Thanks for any help guys :-D

Genuine M3 CSL alloys will not fit at the rear (without major bodywork modifications) due to different offsets between E46 M3 and the rest of the range - I believe that the offset you need for standard E46 at the rear is +43mm.

If you're set on CSL rims, I would recommend a good quality replica - I've had mine for 4 years - they are from Velocity motorsport - they are shadowchrome finish on the photos, but I've since changed them to a more tranditional silver.

CA Automotive can probably source what you need.

A mate of mine reckons he had some 19's on his compact but having seen the size of the arches, I'm not convinced.

If you do change and you want rid of the orignal 16" wheels, PM me.

Pete - I have a set of 16" BMW alloys from an E46 coupe yr 2000 - please see below:

Genuine BMW 7 spoke 16" alloys with Continental Contisport Contact tyres 205/55/R16 91V (2 with 7mm tread, 2 with 3mm tread) Rims are in excellent condition with no kerbing or scratches.

They are currently in Cornwall, but could also be available from Cardiff.

If you're interested, please let me know - is there a PM system on pistonheads?

Regards, Gary
