Booking with 1st Lotus, anyone?

I want to book a day's hooning with 1stLotus, going to call them tomorrow to see what dates are available for mid February. Ffirg 500 & yi8tvr, interested? Anyone else?

Did the course a couple of times last year, once in the wet and once in the dry. Both days were fantastic!

I booked this morning for March 11th.

It is a 2 car day though, so if anyone wants to join me, I'll be there in the Griff on that day.

I get the impression that the 1stLotus courses are more track and extreme handling biased, rather than road based - it that the case?

As I've done a half day Ride Drive, and am doing a full-day this year, but would be interested in getting some more high speed techniques ready for track day use, as I've found the track is not the best place for learning these..

I think they do both road and airfield.

I'm booked on the airfield day which is more to do with high speed techniques, i.e cornering and toe/healing etc.

I got the impression that RideDrive's airfield full day training (which I'm doing in April) is more about handling skids etc. Where-as I'm also looking to be taught heal and toeing etc.

OK, we're ready to book. This is an airfield day and it comes in 2 types - a 2 or 4 car day. What this means is that Andrew's time is divided between the drivers equally. You still get the same amount of time driving regardless of it being a 2 or 4 car day. The driving time is approximately 6 hours, therefore 3 or 1.5 hours tuition.

The first available day for 4 drivers is 8 March, however, there are places available on the following 4 car days;

11 February - 2
19 February - 2
26 February - 3

The cost is £120 each for 4 or £235 each for 2. Let me know what you want to do as it's on a first come basis.

These are the exercises i did on the 1st Lotus airfield training on Tuesday:

High speed cornering and cornering on the brakes
Steering on the throttle
High speed braking
Timed circuit exercise
Heel and toe
