Where would the switch be if my rad had one, I understand some rads dont have the switch in the rad and some do.
There is what looks like a blanking plug under the top hose (pas side) is that where it would be if it had one?

If yours is a V8, there are two metal coolant pipes that go across the front of the engine bay in front of the engine. The switch is screwed vertically down into the rear one, on the nearside (below the oil filler cap, just under the rear edge of the removable panel that has the washer bottle cap in it).

The fans are controlled by the ECU rather than a switch. The temperature sensor for the ECU is what is screwed into the water pipe.
