Hi guys and gals,
Firstly apologies its supposed to say Mansfield boxedin
Now that winter is here its time to start tinkering with the TVR and one of my first jobs is to get the exhaust sleeved, Im handy enough with spanners so will be removing the exhaust and stripping out the precats myself, However sleeving the silencer is beyond my talent/tool threshold so can anyone reccomed a decent garage in the mansfield or surrounding area who would do a good job of cutting open the silencer and welding in solid pipes ??????

I've used PD Gough some years ago, when I've called more recently I found the prices a little high. wink

I've also called into this place......
http://www.stainless-exhaust.com/index.htm
Which although I knew one of welders and now just how good he is the prices made PD Gough look cheap! eek

For exactly the job you mention I used TVR Autotune in Barwell which isn't exactly Mansfield but if you can wait a few weeks he's moving to Ratcliffe Marina, which I know isn't exactly Mansfield either but it's not a million miles away and the price was 1/4 of the one above... wink

We have an on-site qualified welder at our premises (J29 Detailing & Self service Centre)

We are 2 minutes / 1 mile from J29 of the M1, so from Mansfield the easiest way is A617 through Pleasley, Glapwell, over the M1 roundabout and take the 1st exit (A6175) towards Clay Cross.

After 1 mile, turn left at 1st roundabout, 1st left again onto Astwith Close, and we are the first premises on the left.

Open 8-8 7 days a week.

If you are interested, give us a ring on 01246 859778 / 07865 557937, or better still, call round.

For independent feedback, visit the following websites;

Maxx'd.com or Clio197.net

Regards

Tracy

Darren,

just pop round - we're friendly and don't bite!

After all, help / advice costs nothing - Lee, our welder, should be in, unlerss he's got a job booked for 'off-site'.

Give us a ring just to make sure he's going to be in if you want to speak with him when you arrive - 01246 859778 / 07865 557937

Theres a Cerbera just near us on the road between J29 of the M1 and Clay Cross - worth leaving our windows open just to hear the blare of that flat-plane crank.......
