I dont normally bother but who ever is making these Act on Co2 ads annoys the hell outta me. I even made the effort to complain about the add depicting the dog drowning due to the Co2 green house gasses and they have just done another where they refer to cars as being the single biggest contributor to (wait for it) "personnal" Co2 levels... all said quickly and not to loud so you could easily miss the "personnal" bit!

Am I just picky or does that annoy others...

And its not just cos I own a petrol abusing, environmentally abusive supercar! smile

I don't know how they get away with it really. Climate change and other green issues are essentially political issues and should be treated as such. Labour and the Conservatives aren't given carte blanche to advertise whenever they want to, so how does this get through? At best it's just government propaganda.

It is all tax raising government propaganda.
Just an interesting fact ....In one day the volcanic activity on the planet emits more so called greenhouse gasses than all of mankind emits in two years.

Anyone seen the latest ad, telling us all to drive 5 miles less?

My trip to work is 30 miles. So now I'm supposed to drive the first 25, park up, and then walk the last 5? rofl

Find a different route to work that's 5 miles longer, then don't bother taking it. That's make you feel like you're doing your bit. cool

The exercise will do you good Paul.

I'm working from home most days now, so I don't do the 12 mile round trip to the station and back. You can have 5 of the miles I am not using!

Carbon trading...mileage trading...don't give them ideas! It's so bloody stupid Gordon Brown, sorry Van Rompuy, will making it law soon! It could never work, the pavements will be too congested with everyone walking those last five miles to work. And how would you tax people that travel less than 5 miles to work? A pavement congestion charge and shoe leather tax will have to be introduced. With a reduction for those wearing sandalls rather than boots (Less shoe leather footprint!) Mind you a 'walk to work lane' could be introduced, a bit like the M4 bus lane. If there a two people or more (carrying someone on your back) it could be free! Naturally government ministers will be excluded and a Chauffer driven Jag fully claimable on expenses will be provided.

The Global warming lobby - whoops, sorry 'Climate change' lobby. I'm sick of their scaremongering and indoctrination. The consequences of their actions are far more of a disaster than the disaster they are supposed to be preventing.

Re-cycling laws are another thing that severely pisses me off. Local council around here want everything washed and sorted and put in one of three huge wheelie bins that take up 50% of my patio garden space. And then they'll only collect the stinking food bin every other week. Bollocks to that. I shall be making my regular trip this weekend (about 5 miles) to the dump in my 5.7 V8 litre Monaro. I will be carrying 1 black bin bag of unsorted waste (about the maximium I generate a week) and, provided I can get past the Stasi public amenity 'operatives', it will go straight in the skip - job done!
