I reckon that some of those safety cameras on the M25 at the moment are faulty - I mean I was listening to Radio 4 this morning and they were interviewing Bunkett (I think) and he definitely said that they were there to stop people behaving dangerously.

However *TWO* cameras on the clockwise run of the M25 failed to go off this morning when they were passed by a young lady in a car (Silver VW Golf AF *2 YLN) who was chatting away on a mobile that was held to her ear by her right hand whilst she was frantically explaining her point to the person on the other end of the conversation using her left hand to guesture what she was meaning - I assume she was steering by telepathy.

Of course we were all just doing a tad under 40 so I suppose it must have been safe after all.

(Sorry - morning rant over now.)

Hundreds of thousands of people pass through there each day yet there are fewer police on duty in the area than man most small towns...

From talking to TonyRec in teh past it sounds like that kind of figure is far too optimistic and is probably more like a fraction of that.
