Dozy Crooks Nicked

Where would you take a stolen car to be serviced?

Technicians at the new BMW Park Lane Service Centre in Nine Elms turned detective this week when a MINI was dropped off to be serviced. The car 'owners' went off to do their shopping to return later to collect their car and their free massage - a special deal being run by the garage currently.

On their return the police were waiting for them. Park Lane staff had checked the service history of the car and found it to be stolen.

Two people were taken to Lavender Hill Police Station and were charged with driving a stolen car and handling stolen goods.

BMW Park Lane spokesperson Andrew Day said “We are obviously delighted to catch a couple of crooks, especially when they are obviously as dim as these two!

With brains like this these guys could go far in their underworld career.

Maybe they should visit Tony Martin and ask to steal his machine gun.

I suppose the unaswered question is did they know it was stolen, did they buy it in good faith not knowing the history.

Fantastic detective work by Nine Elms BMW Aftersales Fast Track centre. It goes to show some motorists will go to any lengths to get a free massage.....speaking of which....

So this is the best a modern day 'Lavender Hill Mob' can do - state of the nation or what?

Cheers,

This is just a case of media hype, blowing the story up when in fact, the Lavender Hill Mob were in fact just a couple that had been ripped off and scammed into buying a dodgy motor.

Do you honestly think someone that had nicked a car would take it to a main dealer for servicing.

With all the recent talk of the media jumping on stories with death threats, I'd have thought you lot would be more suspicious of what you read.
