Higher seatbacks on standard chim seats?

Do you think the original seats can be extended at the back by lengthening the metal frame work to just below the maximum extension length of the headrest,then manipulate the new foam to suit, as i am having the leather replaced next month, and it might be worth having a go, but not sure if the extra leaverage on the seat back may cause problems later?

At full extension the headrest just fits nicely behind the back of my head,so extending the back to just short of this point, would mean it would finish nicely at my shoulder height.
Bit of a long bodied tivster u see!!
