Mobi Lift

Visitors to the Autosport Show this year might well have seen the Cerbera raised up in the air on the new Mobi-Lift.

The device is a trailer with a built in hydraulic lift allowing a car to be raised up and work done underneath it.

Could be handy for you racers...

Shouldn't be a problem, as it has 4 adjustable legs to stabilise it.

I think it looks excellent. The only drawbacks I can see are price (can't be cheap), weight and the very steep ramp angle. Without significantly longer ramps, you'd never get a race car on there!

Good idea, but I would rather have a normal trailer and work under the car from the ground because I assume it will be cheaper. And your neck would probably ache after a while if you were doing a really big job on it. But it's OK I think

What are you talking about just look at the car on the ramp - Vauxhall Carlton - that's one of the fastest rep mobiles of yester year!!!

The cerbie even had Uniroyal tyres! Kwik Fit again one presumes :-0

Funny that was exactly what I was going to say - the Cerb was a P plate (underneather the stickers) and was not a good example to show for sure... wasn't worried about the ramp collapsing but more the chassis. Can only assume it is stored in a salt mine...

It'd be pretty much perfect for someone who's business is sourcing private cars to sell on... inspect it on the lift, take it home if you like it.

They've now got a model with longer ramps apparently.

I chatted to the cerbera owner who also a share in the lift company, it seemed to work quite well first time it had been on display
