Temporary wheels
Discussion
My GTR is back from body prefit in April.
I don't want to buy the real wheels yet, and am looking for a way to keep the car mobile - I am building in a single garage.
I don't want to risk damaging the gelcoat if I try lifting the car back onto the wheeled chassis dolly.
Any ideas on temporary wheels, anyone got a set?
Thanks
David

Also had experience of working in single garage although on a CANAM. I found the best way was to have the car back on dolly. It means you can move sideways. You will find the first job is to remove the body work. There is a reasonable amount or work to be done prior to the final fit. Also the front and back clips are really the last items to be fitted. What is very useful is to have somewhere to store the body whilst working on the car. I think the factory may be prepared to return the car on spare wheels if you wish to buy later. You would need to get the car on the dolly so you could return them.
I hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestions. The factory are doing the tricky glazing kit for me so I don't want to take the body off - so it looks like a set of Granada wheels. I've found some for £40 the set. Interesting idea about fitting them inside out, I will have a look at that.
Thanks again
