Valley Gasket Matching

Not too experienced in the finer art of engine operation.. so a question:

Whoever replaced my valley gasket did a poor job of matching the gasket to the heads and manifold. The 4mm mis-alignment is on the 4 end ports (cylinders 1 & 7, 2 and 8; the two side by side inlet ports are only 1 mm out).

What effect would the obstruction have had.. major or minor? I understand it's far from ideal, but don't know the effect of this amount of obstruction in the airflow into the engine.

It might be none at all... Its the 3 layers manifold - gasket - head port that need to be considered all as one.
