Serious.
VW Golf GTI and R32 are hip quickies to be seen in.
What about Skoda? It does share parts.
Do we need an Octavia GTI to come in?
Are there chaps who dare to update an out of box Skoda like this
?
The rally Fab
doesn't look so bad?

Quote: "It's quick, there's no doubt about that. The turbocharger kicks in enthusiastically, albeit at rather high revs, so you have to wait a little for full boost as you accelerate. The engine is smooth and refined, perhaps too quiet for a performance car, really - there's no nice tone to the exhaust note, and you can't hear the whistle of the turbo wastegate opening. A shame. "
So do we need a Fabia GTI?
I've had a Octavia vRS estate for about a month now and its been great. It will never be a supercar but its practical, comfortable and quicker than the average rep-mobile.For less than 15K new on the road its better value than most - a diesel is better for company car tax but my vRS is far more fun.
I anyone told me ten years ago I would test drive many cars then decide that by far the best for me was a skoda I would thought they were taking the p***.How times change.

So this is a statement I can work with! Do you think the Skoda will be a good basis for a tuning project for it is cheaper (and basicly the same) as a VW or Seat?![]()
they certain are.....look on www.briskoda.net
loads of the forum members have tuned them with some very impressive figures
Certainly does pay. Why pay £23k for an RS32 when you can get a Octavia vRS for under £15k and with a few mods get more bhp (250)and far lower running costs. Check out www.Briskoda.net
I have a Octavia Vrs and a Lotus Elise S2 111s.. and have had Caterhams in the past... So I know a little about cars.. I think...
OK so the Skoda hasn't got a disigner badge on it but its a kick arse car.... I have supprised a Porche
Boxter owner who couldn't keep up..
The handling is great.... If you know how to drive a car.
Its a great care and at £ 14.500 its even greater..
Police forces in the West Midlands & Mercia area have a number of unmarked Vrs.. So don't laugh when they are large as life in your rear view mirror.. You might get a nasty shock... Not just on their driving performance.
