Hi All,

My 330d needs 4 new tyres, currently I've been running Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's (which to be fair have been good) but I wondered if anyone else had other recommendations? Pirelli P Zero Rosso and Nero seem to be around the same price, as do a few others (Dunlop, Bridgestone etc).

Cheers,
James

I went for a set of Falken 452's on my Touring. Very impressed; quiet, responsive and good in the wet. Good price too - got mine for a shade over £400 fitted.

I've had Bridgestone Potenza RE0040's on my '53 330d Sport Touring since new. I've had no complaints and haven't looked to change to a different tyre..

Sticks.

I had GSD3s on mine and was very impressed. Although you can still get them, GY don't make them anymore so if you need to replace one in a year.....

I've just got rid of PZ Rossos on my TT. I wasn't impressed as they felt unsettled over small bumps, esp when it was wet. I've had GY F1 Asymmetrics before (superceded GSD3s) and was impressed with them so I've just changed to them. Quieter, smoother, more stable is my initial impression, as before. Not cheap, but worth it imo.

Apparently the assymetrics aren't as good as the F1s!

I went for Ultrac Sessantas and tbqfh they are pretty damn good !

PS2s are the best tyre for the 330d but they are expensive... saying that they do wear well though. F1 Asymetrics are supposed to be good too. Loads of the 330d owners on BMWLand have moved over to Falken 452s though are they are fantastic value for money, decent tyre too.

Another thumbsup for Falkens here too yes I've recently put a set on my 330Ci and I'm very impressed. Grip in both wet and dry is superb, and it's all but cured the tramlining..
