Wheel refurbishing
Discussion
My recently purchased a 07 Monaro unfortunately has quite badly scuffed / kerbed wheels, was wondering if anyone has had there wheels refurbished what it entails and approx how much I understand that the wheels have a black base coat with a silver top finish to give a tungsten / polished ally look ...sounds expensive ? any other options available other than buying new wheels ?

Still leaking but not as bad as we thought. Mym8v8 quite kindly helped me out, i went to his place at 10.30pm last night and didnt leave until gone 12. Looks like a seal has gone, i should be able to sort it under warranty and monkfish has said that the diff doesnt need stripping. Downside is that the car only produced 270 odd rwhp which is low by around 30 rwhp i was told my computer said no and was dumping fuel

At least its not to bad and you have a warranty to fall back on, thats why I chose the Monaro I have still has 7 months warranty left and hopefully by June next year I will know the car car better.......dumping fuel ? something to do with the ecu
Yes the car is running very rich. It has a wortec map but im going to order efi live this year and start logging. Ive been told to clean my airfilter but i didn't think a dirty airfilter alone would rob me of so much power. Just need to check the warranty papers as its a third party warranty to make sure the diff is covered and into monkfish.
A couple of people on the midlands section of PH have used these guys based in notts, might be worth a try www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk

.thanks again will check all of them out and let you know the results
Sorry got confused laptab is in birmingham, the wheel specialist is burton/notts. Both are suppose to be very good. You could ask mel aka bonnieandclyde on the forum, she had her wheels done in the midlands at a good price. The finish on them is very good, they were fully stripped before being painted.
