Chaps, a mate and i have swapped cars for a month and I have to say I reckon the C63 is a damn fine car and relatively speaking very good value for money. Didn't expect it to be as good as it.

Still looking forward to get back in to my turbo at the end of the month but the C63 has been a nice change. First impressions are fantastic chassis, drivetrain and I kid u not an exhaust note that would make a Ferrari 430 quiver. Porsche should wake up and smell the roses with other manufacturers offering a 450bhp power train and stunning chassis for £50-£60k.

I wouldn't go near a Cayman for this sort of money and it would be a very very tough choice between a C63 and a standard Carrera. Think the C63 would edge it.......

Given the current standard of Merc build quality I can fully understand the appeal.

how would you compare the performance compared to the 997t,

do you think the c63 would put up a good challenge if it come up against a 997t on the motorway or even a back road or do you think it would be out of its league.

i have a c63 ppack which i think is amazing and i dont think there is a car out there that is better value for money.

cant wait till the new performance pack plus c63 comes out.

I think the C63 would hang on in there in normal dry conditions. Say over flowing fast situations from standstill it may only lose 10 car lengths over 1.5 miles but it should have the turbo in sight which is amazing for a car half its price. In the hands of a good driver and delimited I think a C63 could easily be a match for an average driver in a 7t.

In the wet or give and take b roads C63 honestly wouldn't know which way the 7t has gone but neither would most fully fledged hyper cars Carrera Gt included.

Whats the performance pack plus?

The performance pack plus puts another 30bhp to the output pushing it nearer to the 500bhp, 487bhp to be exact.

they have took the pistons, rods and a new crank from the sls amg and reprogrammed the ecu to make it a bit more sharper.
also

new ceramic disc
carbon fibre rear lip
red callipers
sport suspension

i had a c63 that i had dms work on and they had 550bhp and about 530lbs of torque full delimit which was mental.

i think the ppack was really good value for money at 3210,
the new ppplus is dearer at 4995 plus 1560 for the lsd.
