I doubt even tha factory have a wiring diagram !

Shpud might be working on one for the "Cerbera Bible" once it's completed ? (although I think this might be asking a bit much)

The reason i am asking is the hazzard warning lights are not working at the moment (at the button). However the alarm flashes them without any problem

Can you pop the switch out?
Short the wires together & if your flashers work, then it's a duff switch.

A 'duff' switch on a TVR?...never!...

Remember a while back someone on here said their dad was a sparky and had done a wiring diagram - I think in relation to a light problem. Anyone remember who and can they post a copy?

Yes I've got the wiring diagrams (I think I should change my name to Womble), but they are too large to email (40 meg pdf)so contact me offline.

I have a set but it is about 30 A0 blueprint sheets and is more like a computer wiring diagram than a car electrikery diagram. Very complicated!

What I am doing is taking parts of it and "simplifying" them so that some simple tests can be done. The other issue is that many of the signals hook directly into microprocessors in the control box and using normal test equipment can damage them which is annoying and expensive.

To my knowledge you couldn't damage the processor by connecting normal test equipment to the control box. Been doing this for a while now with no problems. The processor has conventional microprocessor port lines and they are pretty tough unless to connect a high voltage to them

What specifically did you do to damage your control box shpub?

I didn't and haven't. I have seen the results where someone has though. A ECU was taken out. The problem is that some electrical testers on the market can force a voltage on the lines and thus damage the port I/O lines by exceeding the device drive capability. Not a problem when dealing with relays but not recommended with electronic ports.

The processor has Buffered TTL inputs so I guess he managed to get 12V to meet one somehow.

Did I hear you right Shpub, do you actually have a circuit diagram of the MBE box itself or are you just talking about the connector pinout and the circuit diagram in the workshop manual??

No I don't have anything on the MBE box.

The main areas of concern for most people that I can see are the PIC micros that control everything else which supply many of the logic and control signals on the loom. Very easy to think that these are simple +12 volt or 0 volt lines and screw them up. Modern electronics has improved over the years in terms of input protection but they still don't like coulombs up them Capt Mannering.

Will the Bible be available on CD? Perhaps we could then have the full 40Mb PDF wireing diagram included.

Of course, my next question is when will the bible be available?

If you need 'beta testers', let me know.

Catching up to you in the milage stakes Steve, now at 91K

Only one microcontroller that operates the whole of the MBE box/Cerb. Very interesting chip it is. Runs at only 10Mhz with a x2 delayed wait state to access the external memory. Still fast enough for real time Car stuff but quite slow by comparison to some of the 'microchip' PIC controllers. I have a circuit diagram of the MBE box but its one I did myself on a lot of different scraps of paper and I stopped cos I got to what I wanted. I could put it all together for you but I'm not sure a circuit diagram of the inside of the MBE box would be much good for the bible.
