Went to start the F355 the other week and it wouldn't start so I jumped started it. That went fine the car started and I left it running for 20 or so minutes to let the ECU reprogramme it's self or something like that, then put it back in the garage with the battery charger on.

Anyway, went to start it today and it says the battery is fully charger and when your turn the key all the dashboard lights come on, but the car doesn't start. When you turn the key it just doesn't make a sound (literally nothing) not even that "click click" sound. So any ideas what could be the problem?

Thanks

Probably a dud battery.

Do the lights come on when the battery is fully charged ?

When I went into the garage the battery charger said the battery was fully charged and then I disconnected it. I then went and turned the ignition and all the Dash lights came on but the car wouldn't start, just didn't make a sound. I've just tried to jump start it and that won't work either.

I'm starting to worry it's not just as simple as a dead battery.

Silly question first, have you checked the battery isolator switch is on (I've done it on many occasions!)

Dud alarm / immobiliser battery?

Thanks for everyone's help and quick responses! I'm very very embarrassed to admit that because I had left the car unlocked in my garage while it was charging I had forgotten to click the key fob again before I started it. Oh dear I just had a blonde moment very sorry. getmecoat
