Seems like there is much more of a tendancy these days on TV to lower the signal to noise ratio with lots more "here's whats coming up after the break...", and then 10 mins later " ..here is what we've just shown you.. " - this means that on shows like 'wheeler dealers' , if you SKY+ it, and skip the ads as well, there is about 25(ish) mins in the elapsed hour of TV. These programs can't be that expensive to make, and filming a little more content can't increase the budget that much - so why so much repetition?

The small increase in budget is not borne by the people airing it and milking the profits from ad revenue, so the people who actually spend the money would like to keep it to a minimum.
