Tamora Headlights

I know i should leave the car in the garage in this poor weather but can't resist it so took it out in the rain today . I noticed tonight the nearside headlamp cowling is fogged up , does anybody else get this problem , is there a fix for it or do you just let it dry out .

Hi, This is normal, if it's just a bit of fogging I would just let it dry on its own. If there is actually water inside then it may be time to re-seal them. Its fiddly but you can do it. Have a search on here for the right sealant as I think you need 2 types. one to stick the covers on and one to seal the edges.

I think I’m right in saying it can happen when the casing on the inside of the wheel arch which allows access to the bulbs becomes loose or the seal around the access panel drys up. Thus water can get inside the light cover.

Black silicon sealant is as good as anything to cure this.

Normal if the seal(s) between the body and the lense are iffy. Remove, re-bond with Sikaflex 221 then re-seal with Ambersil 5024A sealant. They might crack when you remove them and its easy to mark the body if you are not careful so take your time.

Racing Green have then cost is about £50 each. Go easy and they won't break. Took me about an hour to get each cover off without damaging the car or the cover

Might be common, but it doesn't need to be that way.

Mine used to fog up but it just means they are not sealed properly. Went out today and it was miserable weather. Not a spot of fog in the lights.
