Last time I used this chain:

http://www.plumblocal.co.uk/

Franchise system, the basic idea is that they will send someone who isn't a complete cock. The bloke they sent to do my dishwasher installation was excellent, and charged way less than I was expecting to pay which is always nice smile

I could always ask my cousin if you you like? Has been a plumber/gas installer for quite a while and knows his stuff.

Hi guys, don't know if you're sorted yet, but i'm a plumber/gas qualified engineer. Most of my work is around Alton-Camberley. If you need any help, just mail me, and we can sort something out, cheers, Steve.

Try a company called apex property maintanance a very good friend of mine works for them and there work is always spot on, or i can pm you his number for a 'private' job, dont worry he is not the sort to pack up and leave the country even if you had problems 40 years down the line he would be straight there to help.

Cheers
Iain

£65 a hour labour! bugger me! I need some plumbing done.. 1x New Bathroom Suite needs fitting, 2x Taps need replacing in the Ensuite, and 2x taps need replacing in the downstairs cloakroom.

Seems like this could cost me more than i thought!

So long story short i need to replace my hot water cylinder (which has been in the house for 30 years).

It's a 900 x 450 indirect copper cylinder and i've found a replacement from Screwfix for £160 inc., just not confident to fit it myself and don't really fancy flooding the house smile

How urgent is the work Pete? Just wanted to know how soon you need it fitting, as I've spoken to Carl about it but may depend on how soon you need it doing.

Ok, well him and his wife had a baby last week and he's taking a couple of weeks leave to spend with both of them. He's said he'd be happy to do it, but may not be for the next couple of weeks as he's also fitting a bathroom part-time for someone while he's off.

If that'll be too long, then that's understandable. Thought i'd find out in case you needed it done sooner and can enlist the help of another PHer instead.
