Have read the Match.com thread, and that seems a genuine site with real people, but...

I ended up looking at one called Be-naughty via FB, wtf..! Is that for real???

Anyone 'ahem' used it??

Well, I met my current SWMBO on Match, we've been going out for over 2 years now and it's going really well.

Best advice is to treat it as a bit of fun, good way to get out and meet people without the pressure of trying to pull in a bar/club. Match has loads of users so if it doesn't work out with one person there are plenty more to talk to!

Same here but 3 years in.

It is a good way to meet if you are in the situation like I was, field engineer fixing distance sites (so not meeting anyone at work), and don't like going to nightclubs etc.

The fact you have to pay for match gets rid of most of the attenion wes out there, who just want messages on their walls or whatever (thankfully FaceBook has drawn them away now).

I remember one dating site (free) that I went on many, many years ago showed the amount of guest visits. Some of the girls had been on there 5 years or more, with many hundreds of "hits" - they are not interested in finding anyone, they just want the ego boost of "ooo ooo, lots of men want to contact me"

Each to their own - seek and you shall find.
