Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any Classic Car insurers that covers under 25's on a 9-10 year old car.

My last TVR was previously insured with Hagerty on a classic policy (Car registered in 1999) but as there has been a gap of 3 weeks between the closure of that policy and looking to insure a Maserati 3200 they can no longer quote me until I am 30 (change of underwriter).

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

Lancaster were the only company who would offer me a classic policy when I was under 25 (6 years ago). They were pretty reasonable on a Porsche 944, even when I was 19. Michael Ward Assosciates might also be worth a try. Very good prices on my classic policies now but not sure if they have an age restriction.

Thanks 944gav,

I tried Lancaster's online quote and it was coming up in the £7000 region which is around £5500-6000 more than i've been quoted elsewhere. I think Lancaster changed it's underwriter a few years ago and I have never been able to get a competitive quote with them since. Good heads up though as I had completely wiped them from my memory.

Michael Ward were very helpful and I am hoping to hear back from them later this afternoon.
